In Loving Memory

This page is dedicated to the memory of Joseph Michael Burke. He was a dear friend of mine and a loyal member of Magistia for several years. He is single handedly responsible for several of the rules there but also for countless all nighters in the chat room.

Some of his most notable characters were: Darkstar, Vanquin, Chronos, and Kusanagi. He was a writer and a role player. He always had an idea for plot lines.

He was more than just a member to me. He was one of my first real friends when I moved for the first time and always there for me when I needed someone to talk to. He was my big brother and I will never forget him.

It's still surreal to me. There's still a part of me that refuses to believe he's not out in the world somewhere. When my hubby and I met up with mutual friends at the funeral, we stood around and talked about old D&D stories. When I close my eyes, I can his voice talking about the game at hand. There will never be another Mikey.
