Dena Nehele

1000 years ago, the last of the Dragons fell into a deep slumber and shed their scales so that their power might survive as the Dragon Queen flew over the land and gifted those that walked on it with their craft. Those lucky enough to have been touched by the Dragon Queen rose as a new and terrifying race that call themselves the Blood.

Those that have been gifted with power struggled with those that remained the same, all the while they struggle with themselves as The Blood learn about all the power and about the responsibility that comes with that power. Protocol forms as new castes emerge and the Blood resign themselves to their duties as the caretakers of the land.

100 years or so ago, 500 members of the Blood race traveled over the mountains and into the unknown wilderness called Dena Nehele at the request of the Human King that ruled there. The land was dying and his people were starving, and the fable power of the Blood would be his people’s only hope. Even so, many did not trust those that wield the craft and a battle raged in both side’s heart and mind for many years until a Queen rose and won the hearts of both sides, just as her daughter did after her.

But now, Queen Ilony Ward’s health is failing and may wonder if the shaky truce between the Blood and the landens will hold.
